मुंबई: समाजातील वंचित घटकांच्या शैक्षणिक आणि आरोग्य विषयक मदतीसाठी 'वी द पीपल' (We The People) संस्थेच्या वतीने आयोजित ‘जागर महामानवांचा’ या सांगीतिक महानाट्याचा प्रयोग नुकताच मुंबईत दिमाखात पार पडला. सायन येथील श्री षण्मुखानंद चंद्रशेखरेंद्र सरस्वती ऑडिटोरियममध्ये रविवारी सायंकाळी हा कार्यक्रम संपन्न झाला. या सांगीतिक महानाट्याला मुंबईकरांनी मोठी गर्दी करत उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद दिला.

छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज आणि डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर या महामानवांच्या कार्यावर आणि विचारांवर आधारित असलेल्या या महानाट्यातून समाजाला प्रबोधनाचा संदेश देण्यात आला. भारतीय महिला शाहिरा सीमा पाटील आणि प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार-दिग्दर्शक जॉली मोरे यांनी आपल्या कलाविष्काराने प्रेक्षकांना मंत्रमुग्ध केले. या प्रयोगाच्या माध्यमातून महामानवांचा इतिहास आणि त्यांचे विचार संगीतमय पद्धतीने मांडण्यात आले.

केवळ मनोरंजन हा उद्देश न ठेवता, समाजातील गरजू आणि वंचित घटकांना शिक्षण व आरोग्यासाठी मदत निधी उभा करणे हा या कार्यक्रमाचा मुख्य हेतू होता. या उपक्रमाबद्दल बोलताना आयोजकांनी सांगितले की, कलेच्या माध्यमातून सामाजिक कार्य करण्याची ही एक प्रामाणिक धडपड आहे. या महानाट्याची संकल्पना प्रा. विजयकुमार गवई यांची असून, किरण सोनावणे यांनी काव्याची धुरा सांभाळली. कार्यक्रमाचे व्यवस्थापन मनोहर तावडे यांनी केले, तर संगीत आणि दिग्दर्शनाची बाजू जॉली मोरे यांनी प्रभावीपणे हाताळली. कार्यक्रमाला विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवर आणि मोठ्या संख्येने रसिक उपस्थित होते. उपस्थित प्रेक्षकांनी कलाकारांच्या सादरीकरणाचे आणि संस्थेच्या सामाजिक भूमिकेचे भरभरून कौतुक केले.

Mumbai: The grand performance of ‘Jagar Mahamanvancha’—a musical extravaganza organized by the ‘We The People’ organization to provide educational and healthcare assistance to the underprivileged sections of society—recently concluded with great pomp in Mumbai. The event took place on Sunday evening at the Shri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Auditorium in Sion. Mumbaikars turned out in large numbers, offering an enthusiastic and spontaneous response to this musical spectacle.

Based on the lives, work, and philosophies of the great icons Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, this grand production delivered a message of social awakening to the community. Renowned Indian *Shahir* (folk balladeer) Seema Patil and celebrated music composer-director Jolly More mesmerized the audience with their artistic prowess. Through this performance, the history and ideologies of these great personalities were presented in a captivating musical format.

Going beyond mere entertainment, the primary objective of this event was to raise funds for the education and healthcare needs of the needy and underprivileged sections of society. Speaking about this initiative, the organizers stated that this represents a sincere endeavor to engage in social work through the medium of art. The concept for this musical production was conceived by Prof. Vijaykumar Gavai, while Kiran Sonawane took charge of the poetic narrative. The event's management was handled by Manohar Tawde, while Jolly More effectively steered the music and direction.
